Robert Daniel Gualdoni

Robert Daniel Gualdoni, 76, of Danville passed away on September 29, 2018 peacefully at his home. He was born in Herrin, IL the son of Charles and Fauneil (Edelman) Gualdoni. He married Lenora Jane McCarty on January 16, 1965 and she still survives. Dan will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Jane, two daughters, Danelle Gualdoni of Danville and Patti (John) Jansky of Danville, twin brother, Dennis (Ronda) Gualdoni of Mt. Vernon, IL and brother, Bruce (Sharon) Gualdoni of Fairfield, IL, grandchildren; Katie and Sam Henk, Jett, Drew and Gage Jansky. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dan enjoyed many sports, but golf was his passion. He loved the game and playing it with his friends. Dan could be counted on to be at every game and sporting event that his grandkids played. He drove them to practices and could be seen wearing a team shirt and "official" team hat. Dan was the best at making people smile, laugh and feel good about themselves. He was a gentleman and he taught his family, through his example, of how people should be treated. Dan loved his family. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather and would go to the ends of the earth for all of them. Above all he loved Jane. A celebration of Dan's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Drew Mentzer officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in his name to the Dr. Otis Bowen Veteran House in Indianapolis, IN.
