Lehigh Acres, Florida -- Robert D. Pasley, 90, of Lehigh Acres and formerly of Dana, Indiana passed away at 7:30 a.m. EDT Monday, July 12, 2010 at his residence in Florida. Robert was born March 20, 1920 in Alvin, Illinois, the son of the late Donald S. and Paralee Jenkins Pasley. He married Nelda F. Glass on November 21, 1941 in St. Charles, Missouri. She survives. Other survivors include: one daughter, Wanda M.(William)Linton of Lehigh Acres, Florida; three sons, Joseph Pasley of Rockville, Indiana; Michael(Donna)Pasley of Westville, Illinois and Mark(Karla)Pasley of Cayuga, Indiana; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Freeman of Lake Orion, Michigan; one brother, Sherman F. Pasley of Brookville, Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Margaret Ann and three sisters. Robert was a farmer in the Dana, Indiana area retiring in 2001. He was a veteran of W.W. II serving with the United States Army. He was a 1938 graduate of Bismarck High School. Robert was a member of the Montezuma Masonic Lodge #89 F. & A.M. and the Lehigh Acres American Legion Post #0323. He served as Worshipful Master for three years at the former Dana Masonic Lodge. Robert enjoyed building miniature steam engines and gardening. Memorial services: 1 p.m. EDT Friday, July 23, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana with Military and Masonic Rites accorded; Burial of Cremains: Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, Illinois. A dinner will be served following memorial services at the Cayuga Church of The Nazarene Fellowship Hall. Contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 400 8th Avenue; Terre Haute, Indiana 47804. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements.
