Robert "Bob" Martin, 64, of Danville, IL passed away Wednesday December 15th, 2021, at 10:15pm at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville with family by his side. Bob was born January 24th, 1957, to Guy and Patricia Martin. He married Cindy Cessna on September 28th, 1979, in Danville, IL, who will miss him very much.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy Martin, loving daughter, Brandy Martin, granddaughter, Malia Pacheco, special sister, Debbie Murray, nephew, Adrian Murray, and great nephew, Skye Murray. Other family members include special brother-in-law, Daren Hillard, sister-in-law, Annette Hillard, niece, Amber Hillard, mother-in-law Dorothy Cessna, and Jim Hillard who was like a brother to him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Jerry Murray, grandson, Phoenix Martin Burke, Uncle Tom, and John Hillard who was like a brother to him.
Bob started working for Henry Bireline Roofing Company, then finished his 38-year career in Roofing with Nogle and Black Local 97 before retiring. All roofers that worked with him were like family to him. He was an avid music collector. Music was his passion, he loved making CDs for family and friends and going to concerts. Bob was a collector of antique cars and trucks and loved mushroom hunting with his granddaughter, daughter, and wife. He also loved spending time with family and friends and especially his dog Max and cat Chevy, he loved them very much.
He had too many friends to mention that all loved him very much and will miss him dearly. He was known to everyone as Metal Martin. He had a special cousin Paul Martin also. The family would like to give special recognition and thanks to a very special nurse and friend, Laura Beth Wrightsman and all the nurses, doctors, and dialysis women in the ICU Department of OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Per Bobs wishes he will be cremated, and a celebration of life and memorial service will be announced at a later date. He will be sadly missed by everyone.
