Bob Camp, 52, of Collison passed away on January 13, 2008 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Bob was born April 9, 1955 in Danville son of Ronald and Virginia Camp. He married Kathleen Weaver on September 22, 1974 in Danville. She survives along with their three children: Angela (Eric) Meyer of DeKalb, IL, Pete Camp of Collison, and Keri (Mark) Colston of Crawfordsville, IN. Grandchildren: Wyatt & Jackson Camp and Joseph & Kali Colston. Siblings: Carl (Carol) Camp of Loda, IL, Cheryl (Tom) Lancaster of Tacoma, WA, Jim (Elizabeth) Camp of Ogden, IL, Mary (Kent) Hawkins of Collison, IL, and Jeromie (Donna) Camp of Oakwood, IL. Mother-in-law: Barbara Weaver, and many loving family members including treasured cousins, numerous nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews. Bob was a 73 graduate of Armstrong High School and had worked for Danville Metal Stamping for 27 years until retiring. After retirement, he was President and Owner of B & D Sales & Service INC. Bob was a member of 2nd Church of Christ in Danville for a number of years, and also, livestock superintendent at the Vermilion County Fair, member of the Executive 4-H Council, and served one term on the Armstrong High School Board. Bob was very active in the community and never met a stranger, he enjoyed spending time on the farm but most of all he loved his grandchildren that referred to him as Pappy. A Celebration of Roberts Life will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, January 18, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Drew Mentzer officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm Thursday afternoon and evening at the funeral home. Per his and his families wishes he will be cremated after the services and return to the farm that he loved so much. Memorial may be made in Bobs name to the Armstrong FFA Program and/or the Vermilion County 4-H Club Foundation. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
