Robert C. Campbell, 92, of Oakwood, IL died Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Colonial Manor in Danville, IL. Robert was born June 5, 1926 in Danville to Clarence and Devorah (Jones) Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Winifred (Zander). He is also survived by his daughter, Nancy (Marvin) Johnson of Penfield; son, David of Oakwood; grandson, Joe (Heather) Carpenter of Bismarck; granddaughter, Beth (Jason) LeSure of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Bailey (Nick) Boland, Carissa Carpenter, Kayla and Layna LeSure; sister, Ruth (Robert) Harrison; brother-in-law, Raymond Thompson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Harriett Givens, Leona Givens, Norma Thompson; brothers, Herb and Bill. Robert was in the Navy when he was a young man. He spent most of his working life in the retail sales and service of televisions and appliances. He was the owner/operator of Bob Campbell Sales and Service on Georgetown Road in Danville. Bob was an outstanding family man. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren who will always carry his memory in their hearts. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 North Vermilion, Danville, IL 61834. Funeral service following at 2 PM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
