Robert “Bob”, “Blue Dog” Bryan, 80, of Fisher  passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at his home on Monday, Jan. 8, 2024.

He was born June 23, 1943, in Saybook, Ill., a son of Gerald and Dorothy (Bowen) Bryan. He married Karen Schlomer on Aug. 22, 1981, in Rantoul. She preceded him in death Nov. 29, 2015.

He is survived by five children, Lisa Miller of Fisher, Jeff (Dalila) Bryan of Kansas City, Mo., Garett (Emily) Bryan of Salt Lake City, UT; Shawn Tharp of Salt Lake City, Utah, Tammy (Dwight) Kayser of Edwardsville, Ill.; a sister, Barbara of Gibson City; five grandchildren, Ashley, Austin, Brenden, Dalton and Nicole; four great-grandchildren, Weston, Noah, Kolten and Landyn; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob, or Blue Dog as his work buddies knew him, was employed at Farmer City Ready Mix and then Southland, in Champaign where he drove a truck. He then retired from Builders Supply.

Bob was an avid Illini and Bears fan, with a small nod to the Chiefs. He enjoyed snowmobiling in Wisconsin and loved to ride around Fisher in his golf cart.

A visitation will be from10 a.m. to noon Monday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove, Rantoul.

Memorials may be made to the family.
