Robert 'Bobby' Lyons

Robert "Bobby" Lyons died on December 12, 2018 on his 61st birthday.

He was born on December 12, 1957 in Danville, the son of Kenneth and Rebecca (Alexander) Lyons. They both survive.

Bobby will be deeply missed by his parents, one brother Wendell Lyons, several cousins and one special double first cousin, Jim (Carolyn) Lyons. Bobby has one special nephew, Jason Lyons, one special niece, Jo-Ellen Alicie and one aunt, Sally Pogue that lives in Lansing, IL. One dog, Shadow, who can now stop watching for his truck backing down the drive-way.

He was preceded in death by all four grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Bobby last worked at Prairie State Warehouse. He was a semi-driver much of his working life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all sports on T.V. plus hanging out with his friends at "Scooters" or "Jim and Jos".

A celebration of Bobbys life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Matt Filicsky officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Memorials can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or Farmers Chapel United Methodist Church.
