Robert 'Bobby' Bailey, Sr.

Danville- Robert C. Bailey, 53, of Danville passed away at 7:30 AM on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. Bobby was born February 3, 1957 in Phoenix, AZ, the son of Royal Edward, Jr. and Jo Darlene Bailey. She survives. Also surviving are 4 brothers David, Ronnie, Jimmy and Mark all of Danville; 3 sisters Cindy Sue (Jim)Collie Wyer of Danville, Sharon (Chico) Hutchins and Crystal (Michael) Wagner, both of Covington; 2 sons Robert (C.J.) of Oakwood and Josh of Danville; a special daughter Shannon of Florida; and many nieces and nephews who he loved very much. Bobby also had many friends including J.D. Gerling, Richard Dicky Stitt, Scotty Deeken, Shelly Botkin and High School Sweetheart Linda Estes. He was preceded in death by his father and infant sister. Bobby was a painter by trade. He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, camping, and playing his guitars. He will be sadly missed. A service to celebrate the life of Robert Bobby Bailey, Sr. will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Pastor Doug Knapp will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. A visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, May 18 also at the funeral home.
