Robert 'Bobbo' Connor

Robert "Bobbo" Connor, 25 of Decatur, formerly of Tilton, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 23, 2012 in Sangamon County. He was born on July 11, 1986 in Danville, the son of Laury Connor and grandson of Beverly Smiley and the late George "Bob" Smiley. Bobbo is survived and will be dearly missed by his mother; Laury, grandmother, Bev, his two brothers, Jacob and Douglas Connor, both of Tilton. His fianc, Erin Roe, his future mother-in-law, Kathy Roe, as well as his extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Peggy Connor, maternal grandfather, George "Bob" Smiley, his uncle Freddy, and his future father-in-law, Richard Roe. Bobbo was a delivery driver for Puritan Springs located in Decatur. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, singing to Karaoke, and drinking cold beers with his family and friends. Bobbo also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, and Bears. Robert touched the lives of all who knew him and will be remembered fondly by all. A Celebration of Robert "Bobbo" Connor's Life is scheduled for 2:00pm on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Chaplain Ron Ziemer has been asked by the family to officiate Robert's service. Visitation for family and friends will be from 3-8pm on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu fo flowers, the family requests donations to the Robert Connor Memorial Fund to assist the family with funeral expenses.
