Robert Bob Weaver, 77, of Georgetown, passed this life at 7:00pm, Friday, January 16, 2009, at the home of his son, Craig. He was born March 8, 1931, in Marshall, IL, the son of Floyd and Dorothy (Martin) Weaver. He married Mary Jane Shoulders on December 13, 1952. She preceded him on June 30, 1977. Survivors include: six sons, Jim (Marsha) of Tilton, Kevin of Hegler, Craig (Becky) of Georgetown, Curtis of Urbana, Mitch (Wendy) of Georgetown, and Luke (Nikki) of Georgetown; two daughters, Lori (Larry) Halls of Ohio and Penny Smith of Covington; his twenty three grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and a dear sister, Barbara Ann (Warren) Yountz of Terra Haute. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim (Janelle) Weaver of Catlin. He was in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War veteran. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W in Marshall, and a member of the Georgetown American Legion. Bob was a 1994 retiree of the Local 841 Operators Union were he worked many years. He was a lifetime member of the Pleasure Riders Motorcycle Club where he enjoyed watching his sons and grandsons fly up the hill. Bob was one of the original founders of the Georgetown Youth Football Organization. He enjoyed NASCAR as well as watching the Cleveland Browns and also was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He will be missed by all that knew him. A celebration of Roberts life will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown. He will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8pm, Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at the funeral hone. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Bobs name to the American Diabetes Association.
