GEORGETOWN - Robert Wayne “Bob” Schultz, 69, of Georgetown passed away Monday morning, December 8, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Born June 10, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN he was the son of Donald Wayne and Evelyn P. (Pacot) Schultz. Bob was a graduate of Bismarck High School. He married Diane Gress on October 3, 1964 at St. James United Methodist Church in Danville. Bob worked for General Motors for many years, starting out in the foundry and working in the time office, and retiring from the Shipping and Receiving department. After his retirement from General Motors, he worked for Ribbe Trucking in Danville as a parts delivery man and jack of all trades. Bob was a NASCAR enthusiast, with Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. being his favorite drivers. He enjoyed camping and watching his grandkids in sports. Bob loved any time he was able to spend with his kids and grandkids. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Diane; three children, Robert Alan (Julie) Schultz of Indianapolis, Annette (Phil) Hummel of Georgetown and Aaron (Brenda) Schultz of Georgetown; two sisters, Lynn (Pat) Langdon of Custer Park, IL and Terri (Joe) Ryhmer of Danville; eleven grandchildren, Jory Young, William Schultz, Devon Darnell, Dezeray Schultz, Zachary Schultz, Austin Schultz, Garrett Hummel, LeAra Schultz, Ashlynn Schultz, Jeremy Baxter and Logan Hummel; and three great grandchildren, Pixie Ziegler, Loki Young and Tryce Schultz; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Evelyn Schultz; his step father, Al Stuebe; and his grandparents. A service to celebrate Bobs life will be 10 a.m. Friday December 12th at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Miles Clark will officiate, with burial following at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, December 11th at the funeral home. Memorials have been established for the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.
