RIDGE FARM- Robert Bob Vice, 61, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 7:15am on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Danville Illiana Health Cares Systems. Bob was born on December 6, 1945 in Tuscola, IL, the son of William H. and Elizabeth A. (Cornett) Vice. Bob married his first wife Ms. Patricia Downs, and later married his second wife, Ms. Melody A. (Smith) Carico-Vice on January 20, 1996. She preceded him in death in 2005. Bob is survived by his mother; Elizabeth, his, first wife Patricia, his two sons: Robert W. (Lori) Vice of Colorado, Scott W. (Maxine) Vice of Georgetown, his two grandchildren; Sierra and Brody Vice of Georgetown, and his third grandchild to arrive soon. Bob is also survived by his seven brothers; Leland Vice of Oakwood, Jack (Terrie) Vice of Ridge Farm, James (Evelyn) Vice of Ridge Farm, Michael (Lou Ann) Vice of Danville, Kevin (Patty) Vice of Georgetown, Joe (Patty) Vice of Chrisman, and Ely (Sherri) Vice of Ridge Farm. Bobs four sisters; Beverly (Larry) Miles of Vermilion Grove, Sharon Vice of Ridge Farm, Cindy (Frank) Mason of Ridge Farm, Tina (Randy) Porter of Chrisman, and his several nieces and nephews. His father William H. Vice, two brothers; William E. Vice and Raymond D. Vice precede Bob in death. Bob served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam Era, from 1965 until his discharge in 1969. He was a past member of the Chrisman American Legion for several years and held the offices of Commander, Vice Commander, Chaplain, and Sergent at Arms. Bob was also a member of the Georgetown American Legion Dornblaser Post #203. He was a jack of all trades, and enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, camping and spending time with family and friends. A celebration of the life of Robert Vice is scheduled for 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home located at 200 E. West St. in Georgetown. Officiating the service is Pastor James Blue. Final resting place will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm with military honors being conducted by the Georgetown American Legion Dornblaser Post #203. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Monday, November 26, 2007 at the funeral home.
