Danville – Robert “Bob” J. Troglia, 83, of Danville passed away at 12:10 AM on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Accolade Healthcare of Danville. He was born March 31, 1942 in Danville to Paul and Katherine (Buhoueckey) Troglia.
He is survived by his two sons, Aaron (Terra) Troglia and Jacob (Lacy Greene) Troglia, both of Danville; six grandchildren, Reagan, Grace, Wesley, Bella, and Luxin Troglia, and Delilah Greene; a brother, Paul Troglia; sister-in-law, Lois Troglia; nieces and nephews, Paul Joseph Troglia, Jr., Brian (Sarah) Troglia, and Darin (Karen) Troglia; and long-time friend, Linda Pickett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Troglia.
After high school, Bob served his country in the National Guard. He then went on to work at the Chuckles candy factory in Danville and later at Ryder/PIE Nationwide trucking where he stayed for ten years. He was also a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Danville Knights of Columbus. Most of all, Bob loved his family. He was always proud of his kids and grandkids and enjoyed the moments he got to spend time with them.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bob Troglia will be held at 2 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service on Monday, also at Sunset in Danville. Memorials in Bob’s name may be made to the American Legion Post #210.
