Robert 'Bob' Moody

Robert "Bob" William Moody, 79, of Danville, died at 1:38 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. He was born February 3, 1926 in Tilton, Illinois, the son of John W. and Mildred L. (Dobbins) Moody. He married Marjorie M. Applegate on May 29, 1953 in Kentucky. Marjorie preceded him in death on August 23, 1990. He is survived by: 3 daughters- Nedra Kay (Fritz) Morgan of Tilton, Illinois, Mildred "Mickie" L. (Steve) Benson of Danville, and Lynda Jo (Ed) Dillon from the State of Georgia; 6 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; 1 very special friend: Helen Thomas of Danville. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Bob was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan. He also loved country music, reading, and playing pool. He was a past member of Moose Lodge #1001, past member of the Legion of the Moose, member of VFW Legion Post #56, AMVETS, and served at CRIS senior center in Danville.
