Robert 'Bob' Davis

Ft. Myers, FL- Robert Bob Davis, formerly of Danville, passed away at 12:10 PM on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL. He was born on September 27, 1918 in Collison, IL to Robert L. and Olive Mason Davis. He married Bernice Bobbie Elizabeth Potts who survives him. Also surviving is son John R. Davis and daughter-in-law Chris of Ft. Myers, Florida. His parents preceded him in death. Bob was a graduate of Armstrong High School and served in the army during WWII in the Phillipines. He and Bobbie owned Davis Grocery in Collison but retired as the Postmaster at the Collison Post Office. He was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge in Collison and was a past member at American Legion Post #210 and the Elks Club in Danville as well as Turtle Run Golf Course where he loved to play golf. Per his wishes, services for Robert Davis will be private. They will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville.
