Robert 'Bob' Cole

Danville- Robert Bob Allen Cole, 61, of Danville passed away at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 19, 2010 at his residence. He was born on November 13, 1949 in Danville, the son of Hallie Curly Cole, Jr. He married Kathy Cole in Danville. She survives. Also surviving are daughters Charlee Seaton and Mindy (Jack) Seaton; grandson Jackson Seaton; cousin David (Sue) Dukes; sister Becky Street; sisters-in-law Carla Anderson, Charlie (Ken) Johnson, Roweena (Mazy) Balvanz; and friends Cindy Jumps and Mary (Don) True. He was preceded in death by his father, beloved grandmother Goldie Crowder Cole, mother-in-law Billie Parsons, brother-in-law Richard Anderson and friend Chuck McBride. Bob was a nursing assistant at the VA Medical Center in Danville until his retirement in 2004 after 33 years of service. He was a closet Cubs fan, loved to dance, and liked live country music. Bob enjoyed being a couch potato after his retirement and spending time with his grandson. A service to celebrate the life of Bob Cole will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville. Pastor Tiffany Black will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 3-6 PM on Monday, November 22, also at Sunset in Danville.
