Robert Benjamin Powell

Robert Benjamin Powell, 73, of Romeoville, IL passed away at 9:20 AM at his home on April 16, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.

Robert was born on March 17, 1946 the son of Palmer and Ary (Acree) Powell in Danville, Illinois.

He was formerly married to Chandra Powell and she survives.

Robert will be forever remembered by his two children; Robert L Powell of Carlsbad, CA and Michele Painter of Braidwood, IL, and his four grandchildren; Robert Noah, Avery, Lexi and Abby. Robert is also remembered by his brothers, Arthur, Leroy (Catherine), William, Steven (Crystal), and his sisters, Lula and Millie and many nieces and nephews. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Donald, Floyd and Paul and sister Mary Lou.

Robert aka BOB was a successful businessman, starting his own business in Berwyn in the 70s. He loved playing the horses and watching sports and he loved his grandbabies.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 2:00 4:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Inurnment will be at Bethel Cemetery at a later date.
