Robert B. Haas

Danville- Robert B. Haas Sr., 88, of Danville, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on June 28, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born on November 15, 1924 in Santa Monica, CA to Johnson Bruce and Clara Margaret Johnson Haas. He was married to Betty A. Dudley on November 12, 1950 in Danville, IL. She survives. He is also survived by his son Robert (Vickie) Haas Jr; his Daughter Linda (Raymond) Brandon; his grandchildren Christopher Haas, Lara Haas, Stephanie (David) Ginder, Natalie (Lance) Haas-Viner, and John Brandon; his great-grandchildren Taylor Rogers, Madisyn Rogers, Chloe Ginder, Jake Ginder, Abigail Vannoy, Mahyla Viner, Dalton Simmers, Aiden Brennan; niece and nephew Alice (Bob) Brightsman, Ron (Diana) Dudley. He is preceded in death by His parents; his sister June Pate and his grandson Jeremy Simmers. Robert loved to go fishing, especially in Oklahoma and Minnesota with his wife, family and friends. Robert was also a lifelong member of the 2nd Church of Christ where he was a long time elder, in Danville, IL. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday July 2, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Drew Mentzer officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday July 1, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
