Robert Arthur Fraser, 60, of Georgetown passed away at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday November 14 2006 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. He was born on January 27, 1946 in Streator, IL the son of Evan and Norma Zenke Fraser. He married Phyllis A. Bonebrake on November 12, 1966 at the 1st Church of Christ in Georgetown. She survives. Also surviving: two daughters, Kim Fraser of Carlinville, IL and Heather Fraser of Volcano, HI; three brothers, Terence (Anita) Fraser of Salineville, OH, his twin brother, Richard (Karen) Fraser of Georgetown, and Rodney Hagerman of Georgetown; his father Evan Fraser of Clinton, IL; and his in-laws Marvin and Betty Bonebrake of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Hagerman. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the 1st Church of Christ in Georgetown. He owned and operated the L&M Slaughterhouse in Georgetown. Robert enjoyed water skiing, motorcycle riding, and snowmobiling with his brothers. He enjoyed HO gauge model railroading. He helped keep stats for the GRHS football team. He was well known for his popcorn and his Fraser barbecue. A celebration of Roberts life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 18, 2006 at the 1st Church of Christ in Georgetown. Officiating: Phil Miller. Burial: Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday November17, 2006 at the First Church of Christ in Georgetown. Memorials may be made in his name to the First Church of Christ or the American Heart Association.
