Rlou Moore

GEORGETOWN - Rlou Jones Moore, 91, of Georgetown, passed away at 12:42 p.m. Monday August 15, 2005 at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home. She was born on May 18, 1914 in Boone County, IN the daughter of William Francis & Osa Mary Shirley Jones. She was married to Ralph B. Moore. He preceded her in death. Four children survive; Shirley (John) Fletcher of Georgetown, Nancy (Don) Hoskins of Mt. Carmel, Wayne (Maryann) Moore of Ridge Farm, and Tom (Sharon) Moore of Mahomet; seven grandchildren; Mike & Laura Fletcher, John & Melissa (Moore) Loop, Wayne & Lori Moore, Ryan & Melinda (Moore) DuRocher, Tom & Marci (Moore) Connelley, Tim & Michele (Moore) Cheatham, and Randy & Donna Jo (Hoskins) Beyke; step grandchildren, Dawayne & Shannon Hughes, Dean & Amber Hughes, and Shane Ritchie; great grandchildren, Gunner and Samantha Fletcher, Laura & Julie Loop, Jacob and Grace DuRocher, Cole and Caden Moore, Jackson Connelley, and Christie & Andrea Beyke; step grandchildren, Neicy, Brittany and Kye Martin, Zackary & McKenzie Hughes, Wyatt & Mya Hughes, Tyler, Morgan, & Lexis Ritchie, Devin, Nick, & Noah Cheatham; sister in law, Lucy Jones. Rlou retired from G.E. in 1974. She was a member of G.E. Pensioners Association. She had also worked for Chuckles and Armor & Co. She was a volunteer for Cris & Sams Seniors meal service. She was a member of the Georgetown First Church of Christ. She was also a member of Pleasant Meadows Christian Auxiliary. Her parents, two brothers, one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday August 17, 2005 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. Burial: Georgetown Cemetery. Officiating: Steve Rutter. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday. Memorials may be made in her name to Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home or Chrisman Ambulance Service.
