Rita Kay Huffer

Tilton- Rita Kay (See) Huffer, 78, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the home of her daughter in Tilton, IL.

Rita was born on February 20, 1944, to Charles & Dorothy (Jenkins) See in Danville, IL. She married James Huffer on Oct. 23, 1965 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2013.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Sina (JR) Williford of Tilton, IL, two grandsons, Joshua (Janelle) Williford of WA and Seth Williford of Tilton, IL, granddaughter-in-law, Jillian Williford of Catlin, IL, one sister, Sina (Dale Gray) Colwell of Catlin, IL, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Alice Foster of Indianapolis, IN.

Rita is proceeded in death by her parents, husband, James, one grandson, Ryan Williford, sisters, Faye (Kenneth) Cassidy, Vernnia (Robert) Spangler, and Eulavea See, brothers: Junior (JoAnne) See, Warren (Betty) See, Leo (Bernice) See, Carl See and Robert See.

Rita loved spending time with her family, crafting, working in kids church at Southside & Georgetown Nazarene Churches where she has been a member of both, working in the kitchen of multiple District 118 Schools, and babysitting for many children in her home over the years.

Rita will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Jared Bouton and Michael Flowers will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in Ritas memory to the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene or Grace Community Church.
