Rita A. King

Rita Ann Kagels King, 59, of Danville, passed away at 10:10 AM, Thursday September 8, 2011, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Rita was born on January 16, 1952 to Donald and Helen Louise (Hendricks) Kagels. She is survived by two sons-Casey King of Peoria, IL, Justin Kapoor of Danville, Five sisters- Linda Staley of Mexico, IN, Cathy (Gary) Brown of Hoopeston, Donna Kagels of Danville, Glenda (Mike) Lomax of Tilton and Christine (Norbert) Schwer of Berrien Springs, MI, one granddaughter- Abby King of Peoria, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother and two sisters. Rita graduated from Danville High School in 1969. She loved to play bingo, word search puzzles, watch her shows, talk on the phone and especially loved being with her family. A Celebration of Life for Rita will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM after the Celebration of Life with Pastor Connie Moodie officiating. Memorials may be made in Rita's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
