Ricke M. Rubin, 74, passed away on July 31, 2023, at his residence in Denton, Texas. He was born on October 17, 1948, in Danville, IL. He was the son of Maurice (Rick) Rubin and Helen (Plecker) Montgomery.

Ricke graduated from Danville High School, Class of 1966. Following graduation, he worked for NCR for 33 years and LSI Wichita for 10 years.

He married Pam Campbell in 1977, and they celebrated 47 years in June.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his Stepfather Curt Montgomery, Stepmother Maybelle (Betty) Rubin, In-laws Paul and Marlene Campbell, Sister Penny Rubin, and Brother in-law Todd Campbell.

Surviving in addition to his wife Pam are Sister Lorene Lane and her husband Lew, of Potomac; Brother Jeff Rubin and his wife Janice, of Naperville; Brother-in-law Scott Campbell, of Plano; Daughter Franci Rubin, of Terre Haute; Son Garicke Rubin and his wife DeeDee, of Terre Haute; 3 grandchildren Kavan Crowell, Adrian Rubin, Heather Kochon and her husband Kyle, of Westfield; and many special nieces and nephews.

Ricke was a huge NASCAR fan and had an impressive collection of memorabilia over the years. He loved good rock music, was an avid Green Bay packer fan, enjoyed playing Bocce, bowling, and was the official score keeper at Robson Ranch softball league. Rickes hobbies included muscle cars, taking his car to various car shows where he won multiple awards and being the photographer of his local car club. Ricke will be greatly missed by his beloved dogs, Ari and Sissy.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Miles Clark will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 2-3:30 PM at the funeral home.
