Rick left his earthly home on December 22, 2018 at Gifford Country Healthcare and Rehab in Gifford IL. He was born on February 16,1950 in Oakdale, Louisiana. Rick is survived by Tru his wife of 45 years, his daughter Esther, son Joshua and cousins Judy, Tim and Mary.
Rick was employed at Kraft Foods for 32 years and retired early due to Parkinsons Disease. He enjoyed the outdoors; flowers, birds, fishing, boating, camping and gardening. He was a member of The Frontier Prairielands which is a primitive black powder gun club. National parks were his vacation goals. A hot air balloon trip near Gettysburg that took him 5700 feet in the air was one of his greatest memories. He enjoyed Kodiak Island in the summer with his daughter Esther and had a special bond with his son Joshua that always brought happiness to his heart.
His wife Tru will always remember him waking up with a smile ready to live life to the fullest. His hope was knowing his Heavenly Father loved and cared for him.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Ricks name to the charity of choice
