Richard Wilson

Richard H. Wilson, 74, passed away in Savoy Friday, November 11, 2022 with his loving wife by his side.

Rick was born January 12, 1948 in Champaign to Harry J. Wilson & Martha Mullin. He married Vivian Rader on December 28, 1996 in Urbana. She survives. Also surviving are children; Joseph (Melissa) Wilson, Reakyta (William) Connolly, Rene (Vicente) Rader and Bryan Rader, grandchildren; Chase Freeman, Ricardo Pagan, Margarita Pagan, Karla Wilson, Clarence Wilson, Elizabeth Summers, James Wilson, Gabriella Wilson, Vicente Perales, Sydney Garrett, Owen Lewis, J.C. Lewis & Phoebe Lewis and several loving great grandchildren.

Rick graduated Urbana High School in '66 & joined the Navy where he served on the USS Hornet.

Rick enjoyed cruisin' the States & spent many days in hotrods with his wife by his side. His passions were pinstriping & painting model cars.

He worked at the University of Illinois body shop & retired in 2007. He bought a 1948 cherry red Chevy truck to celebrate his retirement.

Rick's celebration of life will be held at Elks Lodge, 903 N. Dunlop Ave., Savoy on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2-4pm.

Cremation rites have been accorded at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL. 61820
