Richard "Rick" R. Potter

Danville – Richard “Rick” R. Potter, 68, of Danville passed away at 1:12 PM on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his home. He was born on March 7, 1956 in Danville to Robert R. and Martha A. (Shouse) Potter.

Rick is survived by four sisters, Lana Toney of Danville, Linda Kirts of Danville, Vicki Brewer of Danville, and Melissa (Rick) Spencer of Catlin; as well as several, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

Rick retired as a manager from K’s Merchandise when the Danville store closed. He went on to continue his career with Lowe’s and Wal-Mart. Rick enjoyed traveling and sports. He also loved professional wrestling, having spent some time in the ring himself in his younger years.

Per his wishes, there will be no services scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834.
