Eugene, Ind. - Richard "Rick" Myers, 77, of Eugene and formerly of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away at 1:30 p.m. EST Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the home of his daughter, Tammy Caton. He was born August 18, 1939 in Mecca, Indiana the son of the late Ruth (Smith) Palmer and Aouilla Myers. Survivors include his daughter, Tammy (Bobby) Caton of Eugene, Indiana; four grandchildren, Amanda (Richard) Barnhart; Clayton (Jessica) Caton; Micheal Walls and Christa (Matt) Brown and thirteen great grandchildren and a special friend, Karen Wigley. Rick was preceded in death by his son, Micheal Myers; one great granddaughter; three sisters and one brother. Rick was a retired truck driver (53 years) working mostly with Crete Carrier. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Rick enjoyed going to flea markets; guns; working on small engines; mowing and tending his yard; watching WWF wrestling and being with people. Rick liked playing practical jokes on his friends. There will be no services. Cremation was accorded with inurnment to be held at a later date at Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana.
