Richard 'Rick' D. Hart

Richard D. Rick' Hart, 65, of Westville, passed away at 6:32pm, Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was born the son of Paul V. and Charlotte {Sliva} Hart on February 8, 1952, in Danville, IL. Rick had worked at Danville Area Community College for 45 years. He enjoyed watching old movies and collecting baseball cards & records. He loved being with his family and was known to all to be very compassionate person. He will be missed by: his Mother, Charlotte Hart of Westville; his brother, Paul M. Hart of Westville; his Aunts, Betty Porcheddu of Indianapolis, IN, & Leah Yerem of Westville; his foster nieces, Cheon Bonbrake, Betheny Francis, & Bailey Hackett. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul V. and his brother, Larry. A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 12:00pm, Monday, September 11, 2017, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St., Westville, with Pastor David Roberts-Mosser officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to his service on Monday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in McKendree Cemetery, Westville. Memorial donations may be given in his name to Trinity United Church of Christ or Forest Glen County Preserve.
