Richard Polasek

Richard Polasek, 88 of Danville passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Colonial Manor in Danville. He was born on July 8, 1930 in Czechoslovaki, the son of Ernest and Anna (Lubiak) Polasek.

Richard married Armande in 1953, she preceded him in death in 1992. He later married Patricia Rankins on July 22, 1996, she survives.

He will be dearly missed by: daughters; Dee and Beth, step-children who he loved like his own; Lynn (Harold) Neal and Scott (Janice) Parsons; also survived by several grandchildren, nephews and one sister-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his brother Bill Polasek.

He was a member of Christ Assembly in Hilary, Illinois. Richard immigrated from Germany to Canada in 1951, during that time he married his first wife Armande. In 1962 he then immigrated into the United States, working most of his life for John Leverenz Masonry. Richard retired in 1995 as a brick layer. He then married Patricia in 1996 and continued to do masonry work for the next 10 years.

A celebration of Richards life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion, Danville. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am 11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park.
