Richard L. Hank Clark, 90, of Danville passed away on January 11, 2009 at VA Illiana Health Care Systems in Danville. Hank was born March 28, 1918 in Danville son of William and Mary (Wilson) Clark. He married Betty Lewis and they later divorced. Survivors include four sons: Richard (Claire) Clark, Rickie (Tina) Clark, John Clark, & Raymond (Cindy) Clark; three daughters: Carolyn McQueen, Patricia Cynova, & Linda (Travis) Pickering; three sisters: Betty Praybylo, Vina McGrath, & Eleanor Shapuras; 16 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife Betty, three brothers: Hardy, Harley, & Trenel; five sisters: Velma Carson, Louise Katazich, Bernice Sparensa, Faye Holmes, & Nellie Harrold. Hank served in the U.S. Army and later worked at Illinois Fireworks for 30 years making fireworks and setting up the displays for firework shows. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, taking long walks, doing crossword puzzles, playing games, and watching cartoons with his great grandchildren. Him and his buddies started the softball league in Georgetown and the surrounding areas, and played semi-pro softball for some time. Per Hanks wishes, the family has chosen that a cremation be done at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center with a memorial service celebrating Hanks life at 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2009 with Pastor James Blue officiating.
