Richard Ford

Danville - Richard Ford, 79, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Carle Hospital. He was born July 25, 1936 in Danville, IL, the son of Zadoc and Camillea Ford. Richard married Patricia Swann on July 7, 1956 in Georgetown, IL. She precedes him in death. Richard is survived by his daughter, Jennie (Andrew) Jones; sons, Tim, Steve (Ramona) and Mark Ford; as well as grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole; great grandchildren, Hanley and Remmi. Richard enjoyed doing projects around the house, graphic design, researching and documenting his ancestry, rooting for the Chicago Bears and winning at trivia; as well as spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Richard served in the National Guard for 6 years. Visitation is Wednesday, May 11, 2016, 1:30 to 2:30 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Service will be at 2:30 with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of his wife, Patricia, to the Alzheimer's Association.
