Danville - Richard Edwin Tuttle, 92, of Danville died at 9:05 AM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at his son Marks home in Westville. He was born March 9, 1931 to Alfred and Mary Ellen Tuttle. He was married to Lois Poulson on June 3, 1950 in Lafayette, IN. Survivors include: son Mark (Boo) Tuttle of Westville, daughter Rose Tuttle Simpson of Bloomington, brother Philip of Danville, 6 grandsons Justin (Fallyn), Jesse, Dalton, Tyler, Austin (Brandi), Mason (Becca) and 2 great grandsons Jackson and Lucas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lois (married 61 years), son Jerry, son-in-law Bill Simpson, brother Ralph and grandson Sean Simpson.

Richard worked as a truck driver for Golden Sun for most of his career. His hobbies included watching sports on TV, listening to Country music and spending time with his family.

Visitation for Richard Tuttle will be held from 1-2 PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834. Service will be held at 2 PM following visitation, also at Sunset in Danville. Pastor James Blue will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
