Richard E. Hutson, 81, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman, IL. He was born on February 20, 1939 the son of Mildred (Cornell) and C. Ernest Hutson in Potomac, IL. He married Anna (Flory) on March 6, 1971 in Archbold, OH. She survives.

Also surviving Richard are his niece and nephew, Brenda (Owen) Henderson and Mark (Melinda) Garfield, along with several great and great great nieces and nephews.

Preceding Richard in death are both of his parents and one sister, Ernestine Chrisman.

Richard had many hobbies including gardening, fishing, and traveling. He loved to visit State Parks, go to Antique Car shows, and visiting cemeteries to take pictures of head stones for his Genealogy hobby. Richard loved playing games and doing puzzles. He taught his niece and nephew how to play chess and he especially enjoyed working on 1,000-piece puzzles. Richard worked at Van Heusen-Windbreaker in Danville for 10 years and was the Treasurer at the Danville Alliance Church for many years.

Richards family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living for the wonderful care they gave Richard during his time there.

A private family service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Memorial donations may be made to the Danville Alliance Church at 2509 N Bowman Ave, Danville, IL 61834.
