Richard Donald Miller

Richard Donald Miller Jr., 61, of Westville passed away at 8:34 p.m. Monday February 15, 2010 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. He was born on February 8, 1949 in Marinette, WI the son of Richard D. Sr. and Alberta Fable Miller. He married Yvonne Barney on June 15, 1968 at Morey Chapel Church in Westville, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Amy (Patrick) Songer of Danville, Ricky (Lisa) Miller of Tilton, and LouAnn (Jimmy Peplow) St. Onge of Danville; his wonderful granddaughter, Katlyn St. Onge; his father Richard Sr. (Dorothy) Miller of Westville; his brothers and sisters, Shirley, Tom, Pete, Marcy, Crystal, Bobby, George, Alfreda, Alfred, John, Mary; and a special sister, Bonnie, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta Hashey, and brother, Albert Miller. Richard worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and the outdoors. He enjoyed going to church where his favorite hymn was In the Garden. He loved old cars and John Deere tractors. He especially loved spending time with his family. A private family memorial service will be held. Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
