Richard 'Dick' Miller

Danville - Richard “Dick” Miller, 71, of Danville, passed away on May 29, 2014. He was born April 16, 1943 in Hammond, IN the son of William and Betty Clark Miller. He married Peggy Reuther on June 15, 1972 in Danville. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his son, Michael Miller; his daughter, Kristie Bailey; his step-sons, Marvin (Debbie) Miller, Mark Miller, and Mike (Wanda) Miller; his step-daughter Theresa (Curt) Smith; his brother, Bill (Barbara) Miller; his sister, Sue (Bob) Gregg; his 11 grandchildren; and his 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his step-grandson, William. Dick loved to play cards; especially euchre, with all of his euchre friends. He enjoyed his annual trips to Las Vegas, and also loved spending time at home watching the Cubs; he was an avid Cubs fan to the end. In his early years Dick enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He also liked to take care of his garden and yard. Above all else Dick loved his family and he will be greatly missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known him. A private family service celebrating Dicks life will be held at a later date.
