Richard Bodart, 85, of Westville, passed away at his home on Monday October 21, 2024. Richard was born February 18, 1939, in Georgetown, Illinois, the son of Frank and Isabelle (Dunavan) Bodart.

Richard leaves behind his sister, Dorothy Palmer; his two nephews, Stephen, and Kenneth Kern; and many cousins.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Air Force, he worked at Hyster for 33 years and enjoyed his retirement since he left. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and building model airplanes. Richard enjoyed collecting and running heavy equipment as well.

Visitation will be held at 11-12pm on Monday October 28, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, 200 E. West Street in Georgetown, Illinois. A service will follow at 12pm at the funeral home. Pastor James Blue will officiate. He will be buried in Georgetown Cemetery following services.
