Rhonda Washington Pope

Rhonda Elaine Washington Pope, 52, of Danville went to be with the Lord on February 18th, 2017 with family by her side. Rhonda was born the daughter of Willie Mae Washington on October 3, 1964 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She married Emanuel Pope on July18th, 2009 in Danville, he survives. Also surviving Rhonda are her three children, Charlene (Jerrell) Flowers, Christopher Washington and Dominique Washington, ten grandchildren and one on the way, as well as a set of twin great grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters. Rhonda also leaves behind many loved family members. Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother and grandmother. Rhonda first excepted Christ in her life at Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago as a young lady. She loved serving the Lord and others helping people when she could be a good mother role model and giving of herself to teach others how to be a good mother. Rhonda loved to cook and was always ready to go shopping. Rhonda was a school bus driver until she was diagnosed Lupus. Pallbearers for Rhonda will be: Emanuel Pope, George Washington, Christopher A. Washington, Christopher Q. Washington, Robert Noye Sr., Jeff Washington, Lamark Washington and Malcolm Dunn. A visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 3940 N Vermilion St Danville, from 4-7 on Friday March 3rd, 2017. A Celebration of Rhonda's Life will be held at New Life Church of Faith at 1419 N. Bowman Avenue Danville on Saturday March 4th, 2017 at noon with an hour visitation prior to the service.
