Covington, Ind. - Reva Loretta (Cole) Weller-Turner, 86, of Covington, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 5 p.m. EDT at her residence.

She was born April 30, 1931 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of the late Edgar Allen and Bertha Irene (Smith) Cole.

Reva first married Harold Weller, Jr. on February 17, 1952 in Perrysville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1984. She later married Clarence K. Turner on April 14, 2001 in Covington, Indiana. He survives.

Other survivors include her children, Steve (Kathy) Weller of Bloomington, Indiana; Kathy (Fred) Henney of Monticello, Indiana and Mary Ellen (Donna) Weller of Carol Stream, Illinois; two stepsons, Mike (Karen) Turner of Cayuga, Indiana and Jeff (Lisa) Turner of Williamsport, Indiana; six grandchildren, Amelia and Nathan Weller; Jessica and Abigail Weller; Matthew (Ashlee) Henney and Margaret Henney; five step grandchildren; three great grandchildren, Lila; Kirsten and Grace; four step great grandchildren; one sister, Frieda Gray of Covington, Indiana; one brother, Eugene (Sarah) Cole of Bloomington, Indiana, and daughter-in-law, Kristine Weller of Lafayette, Indiana.

Reva was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Weller and granddaughter, Elizabeth Henney.

Reva was retired from the North Vermillion School Corporation as a secretary first working at Newport Elementary and later at North Vermillion Elementary. She was a member of the Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi, Indiana and also attended several churches in the area including Christian Union, Bismarck First Church of Christ, Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and Gessie United Methodist Church. Reva taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She was a 1949 graduate of Perrysville High School. Her memberships included Delta Kappa Gamma and the Newport Country Club. She was an accomplished seamstress, painter and genealogist. Reva also enjoyed knitting, traveling (35 states and 12 countries) and scrapbooking. She was known for her cookies, noodles, knitting baby blankets and remembering birthdates and sending out cards. In her earlier days she worked at Inland supply in Danville, Illinois. Reva enjoyed her family and loved spending time with them.

Funeral services: 10 a.m. EDT Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor John Goldfuss and Pastor William Lehman; Burial: Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. EDT Monday, June 26, 2017 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Waterman Baptist Church, 8540 West State Road 234, Kingman, Indiana 47952 or to the North Vermillion Elementary, 5555 North Falcon Drive, Cayuga, Indiana 47928.
