Marshfield, Ind. -- Rev. Grover C. Williams, 81, of rural Marshfield, passed away at 12:05 a.m. EDT Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the home of Charlotte Miller in Cayuga, Indiana. He was born November 16, 1928 on the Dr. Allison farm 2 miles NE of State Line City and 1/2 mile south of Allison Station, Warren Co., Indiana the son of Grover Cleveland Williams and his wife, Clara Anna Lawson. He was married first to Alice Caroline Cronkhite on January 30, 1956. She died November 10, 1957. On October 18,1959 he married Mildred A. Berge. She passed away July 7, 2005. He is survived by their three children, Bonnie Varina, Jefferson Davis and Huw James and two grand-daughters, Anna and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Helen Loretta and a brother, Arnold Eldred. Grover was a farmer and for over 60 years a minister, pastoring several country churches and for the past twelve years was the minister at the Cayuga Presbyterian Church, which has supported and ministered to him during his last illness. He was cared for by his special friend and companion of over 25 years, Charlotte A. Miller. Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. EDT Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Cayuga Presbyterian Church in Cayuga, Indiana. Everyone is welcome. Cremains will be deposited in the Old Baltimore Cemetery to join five generations of his family and his beloved Possum, Ellie at a later date.
