Dunedin, Florida - Rev. Clinton J. Wickham, 87, of Dunedin and formerly of Muncie, Illinois, passed away at 3:33 a.m. EST Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida. He was born April 12, 1925 in Charleston, Illinois, the son of the late Clarence Wickham and Cora Jane Elam Shoaf. He married Minerva Bell Lipp on March 27, 1945 in Frankfort, Indiana. She preceded him in death on April 11, 1999. Survivors include five daughters, Norma(Byron)Romey of Clearwater, Florida; Donna(Jim)Livingston of North Redington Beach, Florida; Roma Lane of Clearwater, Florida; Gloria(Mark)Richey of Elk Grove, California and Laura(Todd)DeVerter of Cayuga, Indiana; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Donna Chatfield; Freda Beavers and Beulah Duvall. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Wickham; Betty Rood and Sue McCord, and one brother, Jack Wickham. Clinton was a retired teacher at Oakwood High School. He was also a former professor at Danville Area Community College. Clinton was a veteran of World War II serving with the United State Army, 498th AAA AW BN, receiving the Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, Two Overseas Bars, Army of Occupation Medal Germany and Good Conduct Medal. Clinton was also a former Church of the Nazarene minister. He was a 1943 graduate of Frankfort (Indiana) High School; 1947 graduate of Olivet College and a 1952 graduate of the Nazarene Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. Clinton was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Funeral services: 3 p.m. EST Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Genda Funeral Home, 608 North Main Street, Frankfort, Indiana 46041; Officiating: Rev. Richard Burdett; Burial: Kilmore Cemetery in Frankfort, Indiana with military rites by the Frankfort American Legion; Visitation: 1 p.m. EST until time of services at the funeral home. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting with arrangements.
