Reverend Charles E. Pearman, 95, of Indianola, went to be with his Lord at 8:50am, April 17, 2011, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home, Danville. He was born in Gordon, IL, the son of William C and Louisa {Robinson} Pearman on January 24, 1916. He was united in marriage to Lorena T. McNees on November 5, 1934, and after 76 wonderful years of marriage, she will dearly miss him. Others who will miss him include: his daughter, Beverly Ann (Dominic) Bildilli of Indianola; his grandchildren, Pam (Kim) Linne of Danville and Steve (Jeanie) Bildilli of Carbondale, IN; his great grandchildren, Allison Watson of Danville, IN, Aimee (Jay) Miller of Catlin, IL, Ryan Bildilli, & Kelsey Bildilli, as well as, many step great grandchildren; his great-great grandchildren, Alec, Julia, and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his son, Charles Loren Pearman; and one sister. Charles was the preacher at Indianola Baptist Church for 25 years, as well as, preaching at a number of other area churches. He was a proud WWII Veteran of the US Army . He was a member of the DAV Champaign County #8. Charles enjoyed going fishing and enjoyed going to have coffee and talking with people especially with his cousin, Arnold Pearman. A celebration of Charles life will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home, in Georgetown with Pastor James Blue to officiate. Visitation will be 5pm-7pm, Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola. Memorial donations may be given in Charles name to a Church of donors choice or American Cancer Society.
