Reilla June Kiger

Clinton - Reilla June Kiger, 85, of Clinton, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at Clinton Gardens. She was born July 13, 1926 in Ridge Farm, IL a daughter of Arguel Jennings and Goldie Elizabeth Johnson Swank. She married Carl E. Kiger January 5, 1995 in Kingman, IN, he survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, A. Michael "Mike" (Greta) Kiger of Covington and Ted (Tori Shively) Pearman of Veedersburg, a sister, Elsie P. Sigler of Kingman, 5 grandchildren, Goldie (Rick) Clendenny, Gabriel (Dana) Pearman, Mikel (Debbie) Kiger, Stephanie (Freddie) Wethington and Shannon (Penny Freed) Kiger, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorseita Morrison and 2 sisters. June was a member of the Mission Number 11 Church in Horseshoe, IN and a member of the American Legion Post 263 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, going to Walmart and spending time with her family. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday, June 12 at DeVerter Funeral Home with Rev. Don Hester and Pastor Jack Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. EDT Monday at DeVerter Funeral Home with American Legion Auxiliary Rites at 6:30 p.m. EDT. Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 263 in Cayuga.
