West Terre Haute, Ind. - Reba J. Dixon, 79, of West Terre Haute and formerly of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 1:20 a.m. EST Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. Reba was born October 18, 1936 the daughter of the late Elsie (Bunch) Lyles and Albert Armes. She married Curtis R. Dixon on October 4, 1954 in Pine Village, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include her three children, Reba Myranne Dixon of Cayuga, Indiana; Curtis DeWayne Dixon of Wheaton, Illinois and Carla Melissa Booe of Danville, Illinois; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred (Sheila) Armes of West Lebanon, Indiana and Randall (Marie) Armes of Alabama, and her best friend, Carol Marshall of Cayuga, Indiana. Reba was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Reba was a homemaker. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Clinton, Indiana. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, quilting, gardening, raising flowers, especially roses which she won first place for best of show at the Vermillion County Fair. Funeral services: 4 p.m. EST Thursday, February 18, 2016 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Russ Houser; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana; Visitation: 2 p.m. EST Thursday, February 18, 2016 until time of services at the funeral home.
