Raymond Pichon

Raymond L. Pichon, 82, of Westville, passed away at 9:30pm, Friday, November 16, 2012, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Danville. He was born on November 14, 1930, in Batestown, IL, the son of Louis and Dorothy {Snider} Pichon, both deceased. He was wed to Donna Bridgewater on April 29, 1950, in Danville, IL. She survives. He is also survived by: his son, Jeff (Cheryl) Pichon of Westville; his daughter, Barb (Larry) Golden of Danville; his grandchildren, Somer (Paxton) Corwin of Florida, Melissa (Dave) Dubois of Danville, Wesley Golden of Washington, & Lauren (Matt) Carrell of Pittsboro; his great grandchildren, Rylee Dubois, Ethan Dubois, Kashton Corwin, Ace Corwin, Owen Carrell, & Morgan Carrell; and his brothers, Kenneth (Patsy) Pichon of Oakwood, & Frank (Pat) Pichon of Danville. He was preceded in death by his three sisters. Raymond worked for Bullock Garage Construction Company, where managed the office, as well as, the mill. He retired after 46 years of service. Raymond enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, playing Euchre, and watching Illini Basketball. He loved his faithful dog, Maddie. He also enjoyed organizing his photo albums and doing puzzles. Most of all, Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandson. A celebration of Raymond's life will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 11am-1pm prior to the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville. Memorial donations may be given in his name to Vermilion County Animal Shelter or the Alzheimer's Association.
