Raymond James "Jim" VanDuyn, 74, of Westville passed away at his home on Thursday October 20, 2022. Jim was born in Danville, the son of Raymond E. and Martha (Edge) VanDuyn. Jim married Elizabeth Dalph on March 30, 1996. She survives and will miss Jim very much.

Jim also leaves behind his children; Kenneth Jay (Mitzy) VanDuyn, Darren VanDuyn and Kelli (Kary) VanDuyn, two stepchildren; Wanda (Todd) High and Buck (Kathy) Tibbetts, numerous grand and great grandchildren, two very special friends; Terry Pichon and Scott McBride.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and one stepson Roy Tibbetts,

Jim was an Oakwood High School Graduate, he worked as an Upholster, truck driver and later as a maintenance guy at Danville Housing Authority. Jim was a member of Masons 980 Anchor Lodge, GAO Grotto, Danville Art League and Kickapoo Carvers. He enjoyed carving wood into something special, painting, going garage sales and was a genius inventor.

A celebration of Jims life will be held at 10am Tuesday October 25, 2022, at Sunset Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 South State Street Westville IL. Pastor James Blue will officiate. Burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday October 24, 2022, from 4-7pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Jims name to the GAO Grotto of Danville or Danville Art League.
