Raymond L. Gilbreath, 82, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Becker Shoop Center in Racine, Wisc. He was born in Westville, Ill in 1925, the son of the late Clyde and Pansy (Davis) Gilbreath. On November 19, 1949, Raymond married Jeanne A. Biederman. Surviving is his loving wife, Jeanne, daughter, Mae (John) Fleischer of Mapleton, OR., son, Robert R. Gilbreath of Racine, Wisc., 3 grandsons, Scott, Jesse (Kristen) and Kyle, 3 great grandchildren, Kyle, Avery Ray, and Ashlyn, sisters and brothers, Kenneth Gilbreath of Westville, Marge Camp of Armstrong, IL., Bill (Connie) Gilbreath of Danville, Nancy (Terry) Bishop of St. Joseph, IL., sister-in-law, Marilyn Gilbreath of Drumright, OK., brother-in-law, Jerry Biedermann of Danville, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. His parents and his brother, Jack, precede Raymond in death. Raymond served with honor in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. After the war, Raymond owned and operated a printing business with his wife, Jeanne, in Ft. Worth, TX. Raymond was a member of the First United Church and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed sharing his love of baseball, softball, golf, bowling, and fishing throughout his life with others. He was involved in community service throughout his life with the Masonic Shrine, Meals on Wheels, and many church outreach programs. Raymond was a loving and devoted husband, caring and compassionate father, and a guiding light to his children and many in his community.
