Raymond Elmo Lewis Thomas Jr., 42, of Danville, passed away at 9:06 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2005 at his residence. Elmo was born on October 31, 1963 in Danville, the son of Raymond Lewis and Barbara (Brewer) Thomas Sr. Elmo is survived by his father- Raymond Lewis Thomas Sr. of Danville; paternal grandfather- Dorothy Carlisle of Danville; one sister- Brenda (Larry) Doolin of Danville; one uncle- William Thomas of Danville; one uncle- William Thomas of Danville; one niece- Taylor; one nephew- Jacob; for aunts- Sandra, Carol, Virginia, and Norma; Elmo was survived by a host of family and friends, cousins Judy and Kenny Gray who took care of him, his Aunt Wilma and Uncle Larry Nicholson and his aunt Mildred and uncle Jim Sheetz. He was preceded in death by his mother, two sisters, maternal grandparents- William and Thorene Schwab, paternal grandfather- Lewis Poke Thomas, one uncle- James Thomas, and three aunts and one uncle on his mothers side of the family. Elmo graduated from Danville High School in 1986. He loved to play video poker machines. He always wanted to help out other people with chores or errands. He always wanted to make people happy. A celebration of the life of Raymond Elmo Lewis Thomas Jr. will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck, with Rev. Phil Jackson officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Narcolepsy Foundation.
