Rayfield 'Ray' Johnson

Rayfield (Ray) Johnson, 93, of Danville,IL, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Garden view Manor in Tilton. Ray was born on September 22, 1925 in Enid, Mississippi, the son of Columbus and Liler Johnson. He was united in marriage to Creola Brooks Patton on September 12, 1952. Min. Creola Johnson precedes him in death. He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Ophelia (George) Wells; sons, Raymon (Anjanette) Johnson, Erving Lee Johnson, Willie M. Johnson (Billy) and Robert Johnson; sisters, Helen Johnson and Freddie Mae Johnson Brock; thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Anthony Johnson Sr., sisters; Angelee Johnson, Dolly Mae Stone, Florence Johnson & Lacey Johnson, son Luke Glover. A celebration of Ray's life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday October 10, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
