Randy W Boggess

Tilton Randy W. Boggess, 69, of Tilton passed away at 9:20 AM at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville on November 6, 2020.

Randy was born on March 9, 1951 the son of Roy and Wanda (Cook) Boggess in Danville, IL.

Survivors include his father, Roy Boggess, one son, Eric (Laura) Boggess, grandchildren, Daulton and McKenzie Boggess, sister-in-law, Debby Guidry and a niece, Amanda Graham.

Randy is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Wanda and Jack Jones, stepmother, Melva Boggess and his brothers, Steve Boggess, Gary Guidry and Larry Guidry as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Randy enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam from September 24, 1969 until July 4, 1972. He was a diesel mechanic at Ryder P.I.E. in Danville, IL and Akron, Ohio until their closing. Randy enjoyed spending his free time watching football and baseball and was an avid Chicago Bears and St Louis Cardinal fan.

Per Randys wishes there will be a private family service at a later date. Burial will be in Danville National Cemetery with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post 210. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
