Randall Thompson

Randall (Randy)Thompson, 61, of Danville, IL passed away at 1:38 PM on September 7, 2023, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Randy was born on March 22, 1962, the son of Raymond and Norma (Campbell) Thompson in Danville, IL. For 28 years he was with his life partner Mike McClain who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his six siblings, Debra Lenover, Jane (Derek) Weston, Jennifer Buckley, Julie (Dave) McClintock, John (Amie) Thompson and Teresa Thompson, one aunt, Betty Casey, his nieces and nephews, Brandi (Gary), LeAnn, Cory (Danielle), Jeff (Christine), Skylar, Taylor (Vicki), Trace (Heidi), Austin (Concha), Cody (Ashlea), Lane (Nickole), Hayden, Kaleb (Taylor), Cierra, Nicole (Adam), Coltin and Kayla (Corey), 21 great nieces and nephews with one on the way as well as many additional family members and friends.

Randy was a Cosmetologist, an Artist who worked in various mediums, he was multi-talented and enjoyed painting, pencil drawings, varieties of crafts and had just recently completed a chandelier. Randy also loved animals and enjoyed spending time with his dogs "Chompers" and "Rags".

Randy is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Norma (Campbell) Thompson. Several Aunts and Uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life for Randy will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 1-2:30 PM at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel, 105 E. South Main Street Oakwood, IL. with Graveside Services, immediately following at Oakwood Cemetery. Patti Wise will officiate.

The family kindly requests casual attire for the visitation and the graveside service.

Memorials may be made in Randys memory to the Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
